Caminos Fire

Cascade Complex - 2007 (Phase I) Boise NF, Cascade, ID. First part of the assignment included structure protection for Paradise Valley, Warm Lake and The Warm Lake Baptist Church Camp. Set up sprinklers and then backed up the sprinklers with CAF. The 2nd evening, fire burned into the fire camp and destroyed a 200 yr. old historic ranch house. During the burnover, fire crossed the highway boxing 2 CAF units out of the camp, unable to assist in the structure fire. The structure had been protected by sprinklers, however, the sprinklers failed to prevent the ignition.
